No-bake chocolate mousse bars are pretty healthy-tasting for something that’s also fairly sugary sweet. I had sampled this recipe over the summer at my boyfriend’s house and since then I’ve made them five or six times in various flavors (like red velvet and lemon)

The recipe for this easy chocolate mousse is so simple. It has four ingredients, requires no baking, and takes just minutes to prepare. It is the perfect dessert that you can whip up anytime for a party or just because you are craving something sweet!

No one can resist these cute chocolate goodies. The crunchy biscuit base is topped with a dark chocolate layer, which is then crowned with white chocolate, cocoa powder or finely chopped nuts. These easy-to-make treats are perfect for any occasion – quick dinner party dessert or family get-together dessert! Get inspired by our recipes below:

No-Bake Chocolate Mousse Bars Ingredients and more

1/2 cup of sugar 1 tbsp of cornstarch pinch of salt 3.5 oz melted dark chocolate 2 cups of milk 5 egg yolks 3/4 cup cocoa powder Whipped cream Fresh berries Almonds flakes White Chocolate for decoration In a saucepan add sugar, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt. Slowly add the milk while whisking with a wire whisk to avoid lumps forming in the mixture. Cook on medium heat until thickened about 8 minutes. Be careful not to overcook otherwise it will be too thick to use! In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks with an electric mixer until pale and fluffy. Add a spoonful of hot custard into your eggs while continuously whisking your eggs. Slowly pour the rest of your custard into your whisked egg mixture until all is combined together.

In a separate pan or microwave dish, melt the dark chocolate and pour immediately into your prepared eggs and custard and mix well together to form a smooth even mixture. To finish off this easy pudding recipe – add chopped berries on top of your dark chocolate mousse layer! Place it in the fridge for about 3 hours so that the chocolate mousse sets nicely. Once set, take it out of the fridge and cut it into bite-size cubes using a sharp knife. Prepare melted white chocolate either in the microwave or in a small saucepan by heating gently over low heat stirring frequently just until melted smooth. Dip each no-bake bar into the melted chocolate and place it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle each chocolate mousse bar with cocoa powder, chopped nuts or top with whipped cream and berries!

TIP:

You can use other types of dark chocolate if you like – milk or white chocolate would also work well in these no-bake treats.
